We have relationships with market leading catering equipment contractors who are specialists in working as part of a project team; dedicated project management, drawing office support and great aftersales are what sets these companies apart from others who merely supply equipment in boxes to your door.
Architects

Working up a design team for a larger project, our specialism generally relates to the N12 section of an NBS document. Often in our experience this section is often left blank or based upon very generic information, detailing this element early then allows other trades to specify their works more accurately. Ventilation / Air Handling units for example, drain penetration points, mechanical pipework provisions and electrical containment etc.

We can provide tender packs of drawing information, along with equipment specifications which can be altered and converted into pricing documents, we are able to convert format of documents into required versions which align with specific templating or formatting of QS formatting.

Our technical support capability allows us to aid with drawing up planning documents, including specialist ventilation system designs and drawings for local authority approvals, or coldroom plant noise levels and heat rejection.

General space planning is available in the earliest stages of a project’s inception, we are able to call on our experience and reference sites, as well as formal calculations to aid with the early-stage planning of a building space.
Main contractors

Working up a design & build project, our specialism and experience can give you the confidence to ensure the provision will be fit for purpose, and the generation of key documents will ensure compliance and audit trails to review on the lead into practical completion. Onward project management includes timeline planning and long lead items identification, design team meeting attendance, re-designs based on site complications, bespoke item sign off support, installation checks and snagging reports.

We can provide full technical drawings with services information, connection details and power loadings etc. Indicative water and waste connections and flow rates as well as indicative ventilation flow rates, weights and hanging details.

We are familiar with document management portals and formal approval processes, our in-house drawings can be produced with specific document numbering protocols, and we have the technical capability to navigate your online systems to locate information for our attention, action and respond in a timely manner.

Our approach is always positive and proactive, we expect challenges on every project and always look to be pragmatic and adaptable in finding the solutions. We’re aware that ideas should be forthcoming in the design meetings and have the confidence to stand by suggestions if challenged, as well as the discipline and experience to follow the correct channels of information.

Working up a feasibility study to understand the budget costs of a project for your client, we can produce multiple design options and even look into master planning with a phased approach. Our industry experience helps up accurately estimate project costs and carry out accurate and responsible value engineering if budgets are tight.

We can provide technical information containing all required information for contractors to price and carry out analysis as well as joining the contractor interview process to vet and review submissions.

Our understanding of the industry ensures we have the presence of mind to keep cost at the forefront of all discussions with other design team members, through selection of counter finishes or furniture for example, we are always aware that budgets have been set and these should be considered when managing expectations.
